Obituary of Edna Margaret Turnbull
Edna Margaret (Hampton) Turnbull
April 27, 1925 - January 1, 2022
Edna passed away peacefully at Big Country Long Term Care home in Oyen at the age of 96.
Edna was born to Nellie and Bart Hampton at Wardlow, AB.
Edna married Gordon Turnbull in 1945, settling on their farm in Big Stone, and together they raised six children.
After the children left home in the mid 70's, Edna went in search of her parents homeland of Kentucky. From there she made her home in Missouri, U.S.A. until returning back to Canada in 2006.
In 2010, she moved in to the Acadia Lodge where she made many wonderful memories. She had great neighbours and always commented on the wonderful cooks and other staff.
She loved playing cards with the residents and enjoyed all of the musical entertainment.
Some of her many hobbies included crocheting and knitting, but most of all was her baking. Her hands produced many wonderful things.
She also loved watching baseball and curling (Brad Gushue being her favorite curler).

She will be lovingly remembered by Sherrill (Turnbull) Pfeifer; Bert (Gainya) Turnbull; John (Myrna) Turnbull; Debbie (Turnbull) Dibben; son-in-law Gordon Dick; daughter-in-law Jan Turnbull; sixteen grandchildren; thirty-two great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; brother Lloyd (Ruth) Hampton and numerous nieces and nephews.
