John was a terrific family friend . I remember going to the Lijdsman house for dinner after Midnight Mass. John contributed many hours to the Kinsmen and many other community events… He was MC at our wedding..John will be missed and remembered as a very good man. Our heartfelt condolences go out to Mary Lou and all of John’s family during this difficult time of loss..

We moved to Oyen in1981 away from family for the first time.The job we moved there for wasn’t really working and Larry applied for a job in the oil patch. He needed a reference ( a good one) and so he went to John. He never hesitated a minute and gave him a glowing reference. We will never forget that.
