Obituary of Rex Allen Yake

Rex Allen Yake was born June 15, 1957, the youngest of Daniel and Susan Yake's four children. Rex loved nature, and farming was his calling. After high school Rex attended SAIT to become a partsman, working for a short time at Allen's Equipment before becoming a full-time farmer. Rex was a self-taught mechanic and loved repairing machinery of all kinds. He loved his animals, often befriending the occasional skunk and pigeons! Gardening and raising fruit trees was a favorite hobby. Rex often was a guide for goose hunters who came to hunt in the area, and he also enjoyed taking his nieces on the occasional fishing excursion. Rex is survived by his sisters Gloria Koppenol, Bonnie(Hank) Doktorchik and brother Daryl(Debby). Also left to mourn Rex's passing are his seven nieces and their families, and three nephews and their families. He was predeceased by his father, Daniel, mother, Susan, and brother-in-law, Mart.
