I was so saddened to learn of the passing of this dear sweet lady. I will forever remember her beautiful kind smile,happy eyes and gentle laugh. I was a new teacher in Oyen in 1990. Unsure, single, and starting out in life. Each day she and Stan would clean my classroom, and we would get to talking. Pretty soon Stan would leave and we would keep visiting. I was blessed to have her daughter Agnieszka in my grade 12 biology class. As a result, I was invited to spent time in Lodgia’s amazing kitchen and she made sure I always went away well fed and with a container or two extra. She had a way of making everyone feel so welcome and cared about. I have such fond memories of her and her whole family. My heart goes out to her entire family as she was such a treasure and I’m sure will be incredibly missed. Love Kris Biegler and Boys xo
