Obituary of Mark Ernest Peterson

In loving memory of Mark Ernest Peterson

April 27, 1960 - April 27, 2024.

Mark bravely fought terminal cancer for 3 years before he could fight no more. Mark passed away April 27, 2024 with family and friends by his side.

Mark was born to Ernest and Shirley Peterson April 27,1960. He grew up on the farm south of Chinook with his brothers Lyle and James. He loved going hunting and fishing with the family and loved competing in Motor Cross as a teenager. Mark went to Lethbridge college for Agricultural Mechanics and started his own grain hauling business called Dust Bowl Transfer when he was a young adult. He later started working for Christianson’s Trucking and worked for them for about 20 years before he could no longer work.

Mark met his wife Shelley through a mutual friend, Tami Olds, in 1999 and they were married January 1, 2000. Shelley came with two young teenagers, Ashley Davis and Mike Davis-Panman. Mark stepped into the role of Dad easily and was always there for them. He was a fantastic father and husband.

Mark is survived by his brothers Lyle and James, his wife Shelley, his children Ashley Davis and Mike Davis-Panman, his grandchildren Gavin and Gracie Ross, and Callum Koch. Mark was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all.
