Born on June 24, 1938 on the family farm in Waterloo, Ontario, to the late Clarence and Olga Dorscht passed away peacefully on October 2, 2023 at the Kindersley Hospital surrounded by his family at the age of 85. 

Nelson is survived by his loving wife of 52 yrs Noreen. His three kids; Barbara of Kindersley, Randy of Kindersley, and Brad (Shalini) Dorscht of Oyen, brothers; Gordon, Dennis, sisters; Evelyn Ditner, Loreen, Irene and June Dorscht.

Nelson was predeceased by parents Clarence and Olga Dorscht, brothers; Allen, Alvin, Ray, Lorne and Vernon Dorscht.
